What are the benefits of ordering from Serving Chefs?

When you order from Serving Chefs, you get a true home dining experience. Your food arrives ready to eat in our beautiful porcelain packaging that you can simply pop in the oven or microwave. You don’t need to feel guilty because our packaging is completely reusable. And the best part is that we simply pick up the packaging with your next order. This means you don’t have any extra work returning your used bins!

Do you have a separate menu for vegans and vegeterians?

There are always at least 8 dishes to choose from, including at least one vegan, one vegetarian and one children’s dish. Allergens and additives are clearly listed in the app for all our dishes. 

What are the average prices?

We offer main courses from €9.50 and children’s meals are only €5.50.

Do you also deliver to my address?

You can easily check if we are already delivering to your address on the home page of our website.

What time do you deliver?

Serving Chefs meals are delivered in two time slots. Either between 4pm and 6pm or between 6pm and 8pm. We will send you a tighter time slot of 30 minutes on the day of delivery.

Does the deliverer expect a tip?

No, our delivery drivers do not expect a tip. We pay a fair wage, so tipping is not necessary.

When do I need to place my order?

Orders can be placed by midnight for next – day delivery.

Packaging and returns

What will happen to the porcelain bowls? Do you expect him back?

We will be happy to take the porcelain bowls back with your next order. You can track the status of your return in the app. If you return your packaging after more than 4 weeks, we will refund the deposit value of the packaging as a credit for Serving Chefs.

Can I return my used Serving Chefs packaging dirty?

Please be so kind as to at least rinse the containers with water to avoid mold and bad smells. This way you can keep the packaging hygienic until your next order. After you return the packaging to us, we ensure that it is professionally cleaned before the next use.
Please note that we always inspect all containers and are not obliged to take back intentionally damaged non-food containers. In this case we would charge you the deposit value of 10€ per damaged container.

How do I return Serving Chefs packaging?

You can simply return your used containers to our driver with your next order. If you want to return the packaging yourself, you can also drop it off at one of our drop-off points.

What happens if I don't return the Serving Chefs packaging?

If you do not return the packaging within 28 days, you will be charged €10 per container as a deposit. In this way we can ensure that there are always enough containers for our cooks. But don’t worry, you can still return the containers afterwards. If you decide to return the containers after the 28 days, you will receive 10 credits per container in the app, which you can redeem for delicious meals.

What material are the Serving Chefs containers made of?

The Serving Chefs containers are made of high-quality porcelain. The lids are made from food grade silicone.

Are your meals frozen?

No, all our meals are absolutely fresh and prepared just a few hours before delivery. Our meals are as fresh as if you were cooking them yourself.

How long can you store your food?

All dishes can be kept in the fridge for another day and reheated and eaten the next day. Although your food is of course at its freshest if you eat it on the same day it is delivered.

Can you freeze your meals?

We advise against freezing your meals unless specifically mentioned by the chef/in the app.

What's the best way to warm up your meal?

Each dish comes with detailed instructions for preparation in the oven, on the stovetop or in the microwave. Reheating your food in the oven is generally our preferred choice. Especially if you want a dish to stay crispy.

Ordering and payments

How can I pay?

You can pay by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Sofortüberweisung (coming soon).

Can I get an invoice for my order?

Yes of course! We will send you an invoice to your email address with every order.

Is my payment information safe in the app?

We use Stripe for payment processing, a very popular PCI compliant service that carefully encrypts payment information. You can learn more here .

Referral system

How does referral system work?

You have a custom made voucher. This voucher you can give to friends. Friends get 10 EUR discount, and you get 5 EUR credits
